I was very skeptical about this part, but it was on sale while I was ordering something else, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Let me tell you- I was VERY pleasantly surprised by the effect it had on my '98 900s with 140k+ miles on it.

Throttle response is not just more immediate, but noticeably smoother. I don't want to make any claims about increased power w/o numbers to back it up, but it definitely feels like I need less throttle input to get the same amount of "go." And this is all with the stock filter and unmodified airbox (haven't gotten around to it yet).

Oddly enough, where I notice it most is in stop-and-go, low input situations. Getting into 1st and 2nd with minimal throttle input is a much smoother experience now.

The change in sound is much less pronounced for me than it seems to be for other reviewers; I rarely notice it. It also frees up space around the engine bay for easier repairs.

Bottom line: If you, like me, thought that there was nothing you could really do to give your 2.3NA more oomph, let this intake prove you wrong. Is it going to make your NA engine feel like the turbo? No. But it makes a difference that I can *absolutely* feel. No placebo effect here- I wish I had got this years ago.
