Installed myself on a 2000 9-5 Aero. Took a while to get the dimensions correct within the shift tunnel, I had some rubbing initially. Hardest part of the operation was taking apart the lower dash and shift tunnel trip pieces. Had to do it twice to get it right.

GS customer support was very helpful. Ball bearing is effortless and very smooth, almost too smooth.

Hard to describe but I'll try: Transmission shifts from gear to gear without issue but because of the general sloppiness of Saab transmissions with the lighter feeling of the ball bearing, the stick almost feels too light. I almost miss some of the previous resistance of the stock setup. The resistance provided isolation from the mechnicals which is gone now. The lack of resistance now only magnifies the sloppy feel of our transmissions. I am going to keep it in the car for a while and since I kept all the old parts, can revert back at any time. I'm giving it a five griffin rating as the mechanical work is excellent from GS and the shorter throws are noticable, just not entirely sold on the feel yet. It's just the way these cars are.
