Upgrade #2 (#1 - steering rack clamp kit). This upgrade GREATLY improves the tracking through turns. I used to have a hard time on a 90 degree turn staying in the inside lane on a multi-lane road. Not any more. The car goes where I point it. It almost feels like the car is being pushed through the turns now. The body roll is noticeably reduced, and the handling through turns is much quicker. Feels like the turning radius is smaller too when I took my first U-turn. Install was straight forward. It took me about 1 hour. I did not use a lift of any kind and found there was enough clearance to do the job (not enough clearance, however, to use a creeper, just worked directly on my back on the floor of my garage). The original, flimsy bar came right off (OK, I snapped the head off one bolt, but it turned out to be easy to remove the rest of the bolt once the bar was off). I didn't have a helper, so I used my floor jack to prop up one side of the bar while I installed the bolts on the other side. I found it to be a bit difficult to get the nuts on, as there is not very much clearance when placing the washer and nut over the end of the bolts, but it is doable. One caution-be carefull to avoid the brake lines when tightening the bolts, specially with the wrench that is holding the nut in place when turning the bolt head. In summary, for less than the price of 2 tanks of gas, this is another no brainer. Next up is the strut brace, then the 6 point sub-frame. Hope to have those installed in the next month or so. Fortunately, the prices are very reasonable so I won't end up in the poor house (but I do stand a chance of ending up in the dog house with my wife!)
