Relatively easy replacement - just strip off old knob one layer at a time (leather, rubber, then plastic core) until there's nothing left but the shaft, then press on the new one. The leather on my '98 knob had worn through, so I'm back to new car look/feel. 4/5 rating since I think leather is not as high-quality as expected.
