Installed this a few weeks before my short shifter so I could accurately tell the difference. Well, like many others have said, WHY DIDN'T SAAB INSTALL ONE LIKE THIS FROM THE START?? It makes shifting so much smoother, and even quicker. There is less engine rock transmitted to the cabin now and 1st gear is actually usable now! I was worried about buying it in the winter, but I shouldn't have been. It took 5 minutes to install. seriously. I found a tutorial on a saab forum. get it!
