My car had a rebuilt title from a driver's side impact in 2006, and although mechanically sound, a little more shaky than probably even the stock system is.
When I removed the old steering rack clamp, I laughed at the way it was built. The rubber had the consistency of hardened butter, and im pretty sure the clamp was pewter.
Anyway, steering rack clamped down, no more steering wander, very little tire tracking in ruts, and the car feels like it has more power due to the tires gripping all the way through each gear.
