This brace really does help! I was close to selling my '99 9-3 SE (purchased with 68K miles) because of the lousy steering feel. Too light at higher speeds, and very sensitive to following road irregularities and road camber. Had already installed the six-point subframe brace, poly bushings, and larger rear sway bar.

These had helped, but the Steering Rack Brace added weight to the steering, and stabilized 90% of the tendency to wander. It really brought the effects of the other mods together, and I'm delighted. Thanks, KIC and Tallafero!

My question: why did Saab ever let such a weak design out in the first place? My old 900T was a much better tracking car. Get this brace for your 9-3. You won't be disappointed.
