Installed this Open Air Intake on my 2000 SE Convertible. Throttle response seems a bit quicker, turbo seems to spool up a bit faster, and you can definitely hear the rush of the turbo when you hit the gas. I have only had it on for a day, but I am loving it so far. The instructions say the install should take 20 minutes. Well, it took me about an hour (but 10 to 15 minutes was spent fishing out my 10mm socket that I dropped!). Also, pulling the MAF out of the existing air box took some effort. Everything fit as it should without any year fiddling, but you do need to be careful when you run the wires, as they could easily get pinched if you are not careful. My only real complaint relates to the instructions. Maybe show an exploded view of how all the parts come together, as I was a little confused at first as to how to install the existing black bracket that connects the MAF to the new metal plate. Also, there is no mention as to how to maintain the filter. Someone mentioned in an earlier post about oil. Does the filter need to be oiled or anything like that? How should it be cleaned? Filter maintenance should be included in the instructions. In summary, another great product from the folks at Taliaferro!
