Second installment of impressions.
(sorry for the repeated posts)
55 crisp degrees ambient temperature during my morning commute. Perhaps I should have purged the "brain" by disconnecting the battery...?
On a open stretch of an empty on-ramp, flogged the go-pedal and the motor just lit up with torquey oomph. Snappier throttle response observed. Removal of the inlet air resonator (the box between the filter-housing and the big pipe/hose sprouting out of the wing) made a very big difference in the manner the air gets guided to the open element filter; very short distance of travel, now.
Whether it is due to the removal of the resonator or a tired turbine, I don't know, but the compressor spool up noise seems a bit more pronounced (for some, this is a good thing).
It might take a crisp/cool morning to get you to notice a difference, but once you feel it, there is no ignoring it; I challenge anyone to try not to over-do the speed-up & slow-down cycles.
