I just installed the version 3 strut brace and I should have done this long ago on my 00 9-3 SE. First impression, nicely finished in textured black with good welds. Fit was a bit challenging, I had to use some cheap thin walled sockets to get in the recessed cavity at the strut mount ends, holes were a little off so I couldnt use the thicker walled Craftsman or Snap on stuff I usually use. I got by without any drilling. The trick is to assemble everything loose and put a couple captive sockets on the strut mounts, tighten up the 3 center bolts then tighten the ones at the strut mounts, remove sockets when done. When installed it does make contact with the power steering hose though.
Cornering is greatly improved with much less lean. Very noticable. No penalty in ride harshness. About the same impact as the rear sway bar I installed about 6 years ago, only now the front end feels just as good. I also installed the steering rack brace/clamp a few years ago and recently the GenuineSaab poly bushing kit on the front end as the oem control busings were shot. Every step made a big difference.
