This simple, but highly engineeried precise piece of steel, the strut brace, has totally changed the driving feeling I was experiencing with my NEW may'08 9-3 2.0t Vector CV!!!! It's like night and day!
I bought the car this january with only 46mi, and what I was experiencing was the most annoying and disturbing feeling ever on a car. The infamous Cowl Shake associated to CVs was here in my new 9-3 claiming for the first prize!
Tried everything to reduce as much as possible those annoying vibrations ..., new tires, alignement, balance, dynamic balance ..., but nothing worked ..., until reached to this web page and discovered those things Taliaferro builds to improve the performance of our precious SAABs. Studied a lot over subrames, strut braces, etc. and decided to try with the strut brace.

Mounted the strut brace in five minutes with the aid of a professional. Fit on my '08 9-3 CV perfectly! And what I experienced since that moment was a totally different driving and feeling. It was a totally different car! Unless the first two days (the time needed for suspension to start working properly), on which the car was still giving me that infamous shake, the 9-3 started to run soooo smooth, I couldn't believe the strut brace had been the solution! For sure I recommend it to everyone who owns a CV, even the last produced ('07, '08 and later).

As many of reviewers say, why didn't SAAB brought a strut brace for CVs directly from Factory, as started doing on the latest versions with the subframe?
