on the plus side, it sounds the way others have described (turbo spool up, blow off valve); plus I'm seeing higher boost with gauge going half again further into the red.

on the down side, the bolts to mount the mass airflow meter to the baffle were too short, had to make a trip to the hardware store to complete the install ... for $130 for a filter, a piece of cut sheet metal and a small bag of screws, I would have expected the bolts to be the right length.
