Car is a 2000 SE convertible. This is the 4th suspension upgrade (Steering Rack Brace, Rear ARB, and Upper Strut Brace already reviewed). This part is the usual high quality I've come to expect from Taliaferro. Install was straightforward (about 2 hours, of which I'd say 30 mins was spent figuring out where to put the jack stands since my usual place was interfering with the install). The rivet went in very easily. (The hardware now includes a short bracket for the rear driver side bolt, so only one rivet is needed instead of the 2 as described in the instructions.) Everything lined up perfectly. After the install, the car has a much more solid feel with reduced cowl shake and tracks better through the turns, but did not provide as dramatic a change as the first two upgrades did. However, I do think this part is well worth it, and after the first 3 upgrades perhaps have reached the point of diminishing returns. I would say that the Steering Rack Brace and Rear ARB gave the biggest bang for the buck. The Upper Strut Brace and 6 Point Subframe brace continue to improve the handling, but it is more of a refinement. Perhaps if I had installed this brace first I would be saying the opposite, who knows? I think having all 4 is the way to go if your budget can handle it. In summary, the car has been transformed from a very sloppy, torque steer laden ride to a GREAT handling car and is so much more fun (and safe) to drive. Thanks again to Nick and the rest of the crew at Taliaferro!
