Woah. So much for a 15 min install. It took me over 4 hours to get this mount in my 2004 Aero yesterday and I am not exactly mechanically challenged. The first delay was getting past the arm on the transmission. The lip on the poly mount would not get past it. I jacked the car on the front driver side jack point and this shifted the engine just enough to squeeze it by with some Palmolive dish soap lubing things up.. The second delay was that I couldn't fit both of the provided washers on the outsides of the poly mount. Trust me, I tried every which-way imaginable. For about an hour. I ended up needing to use a belt sander to take .010" off the length of the aluminum "core" of the poly mount. While doing this I noticed the hole through the core for the bolt to go through was not concentric. It was very crooked. I am not sure if this added to my difficulty in getting the bolt threaded, but I finally got it to thread by having someone rock the car back and forth in park (car off the jack) as I fiddled the bolt through.

The first thing I noticed with the mount installed was the car didn't shake when I started it. I only heard the engine cranking. Idle vibration is noticeably increased but not a huge problem. Shifting between P, N, R feels slightly faster. (Oh yeah, the car has 40k miles and the OEM mount looked very healthy). Under load I can feel quite a bit more vibration through the pedal and my seat. Engine noise is noticeably more pronounced (not necessarily a bad thing - more growl). Shifting feels great, especially after hard acceleration and letting off the gas. I don't feel the thunk of the engine settling back.

It might be nice to include a brief set of instructions and a quick note with the tightening torque of the bolt that runs through the mount. I think it's 35 ft-lbs. Someone on a Saab forum reported his aluminum bracket (the BIG one on the transmission) cracked when he tightened the bolt too much.

Sorry for the long write-up but I tried to be thorough to help anyone else looking to install it. Overall, another great experience with Genuine Saab! Thanks!
