I have a ’02 Convertible SE stick. I combined the PPC with the Open Air Intake 9-3 00-02 and Viggen (All T7) [AIR93t7]. Wow. I got a real bump in noticeable power from around 2500+ with smoking power around 3500+. I love to drop it into 2nd around 40 and punch it to 55 or 60. The sound from the new intake is interesting - sort of reminds me of one of those big turbo-diesel's spinning up, but not as loud. Admittedly, I don't know what mine sounds like outside the car but from in the cabin it is now very clear when the car is breathing and it does so at a much lower RPM on the turbo with the PPC.
I know the next stage will really help but I'm happy with this.
By the way, my pre-install city mpg used to be ~20. Now it is 25 if I use the accelerator just the same as before 80% of the time and have fun the other 20%, which is typically all I get to do where I live. Right now, that's about $300/yr savings. I did see a bump on highway but not as much (27 mpg now 30 mpg running about 75mph).
