I installed the 3” downpipe on my wife’s 98’ 900SE, replacing the original exhaust. I installed it with the BSR 2.5” Catback exhaust. The downpipe is well built, with clean welds and smooth bends. The installation was easy, but the fit around the downpipe is tight and the flare at the top of the 3” pipe prevented me from using a socket to tighten the nuts connecting the downpipe to the turbo (used an open end wrench). I’m glad I got the Version 2 to replace the factory flexpipe. Combined with the 2.5” BSR Catback, the exhaust sound is refined and sounds a bit louder than stock. I have no other upgrades on the car and the change in performance was subtle, but I agree with other reviews that the Turbo lag is improved. Fuel economy was improved 2-5 MPG, but I replaced the O2 sensors at the same time so that may have helped also.
