I own a 1996 900 SE. I installed the 6pt Subframe Brace about 3wks after I had installed the ARB(25.5 mm). The car had, from my prospective, its original suspension from the factory with over 140k on the odometer. It was due for, and still needs, some upgrades to the underpinnings i.e.: bushings, ball joints, ARB, engine/transmission mounts, shocks/struts and springs.
The 6pt Brace improved the steering feel immensely. It really made the car feel on rails. It gave me much more confidence with taking the car around any turn. The road bumps no longer make me feel uneasy, rather that I am in control over the car. It also gives a more communicative feel with the road that was lacking before. Basically the way it should have felt from the factory.
The install was very easy and would have been much easier if I had jacked the car up higher. I had jacked the car just high enough to fit my electric drill underneath. The instructions are clear and the install is not, too, time consuming (see above).
I believe that this is a definite buy for any car. It provides a more confidence inspiring ride and excellent car control.
